Wine Wench

The Wine Wench (http://www.cobizmag.com/articles/why-i-love-the-little-gal/) is my sassy and often irreverent wine column that appears twice monthly in ColoradoBiz Magazine (subscribed to electronic version for free at www.cobizmag.com) and on KUVO Radio Station in Denver (www.kuvo.org), with on-air host, Susan Gatschet-Reese.

(By the way? KUVO is a 24/7 jazz and R&B station that I sort of can’t believe actually exists — especially in Denver. ANYway — The Wine Wench is the outcome of an editorial meeting that took place about four years ago at an Italian restaurant in south Denver. Sitting around the dinner table, appropriately lubricated with chianti and carbs, it occurred to me that wine writers take themselves way too seriously.

After all, aren’t we regular folk the ones keeping vintners, distributors and wine shops in business? The Wine Wench is a thinly disguised platform that affords me the opportunity to wax on about anything wine-related — from restaurants’ wine lists, to last year’s reservas to Riojas — the topics run the gamit.
